DRINKING BOWL FOR CATS
User centered approach
Coursework / prototype, 2019
Material: Ceramic
Size: 158 mm x 158 mm x 158 mm
Inspiration for this bowl was that the cats drank from a pitcher on the kitchen table. First, it was not a problem, but it became awkward when guests thought the pitcher was for their use. Therefore, I designed the bowl to separate it from those used by people. Additionally, I designed this bowl to a specific size to enable cats to drink from it without leaning to the floor level. I also wanted to create a beautiful sculptural piece that would also be a piece of art instead of an ugly pet accessory.

Technical drawing of the bowl. The dimensions are approximate due to the casting clay technique. The water volume of the bowl is 64 cl.
