TIMPURILTA TALO – BRAND IDENTITY
Visual identity design: Logo, color palette, typography, and website design and implementation for a construction company.
In 2018, I designed a comprehensive visual brand identity for Suomen Timpurilta Talo Oy, which included the logo, color palette, typography, and website layout. I also implemented the entire website from design to launch.
The goal of the brand identity was to position the company alongside larger players in the construction industry and communicate reliability, professionalism, and growth potential—while at the same time standing out from the small one-man businesses from which the company had originally started. The triangular logo refers to the most stable structure in construction and its symbolism. In the typography, I incorporated two T letters, one upside down: together they form a visual pair resembling a hammer, providing a playful nod to the client’s original idea of a house-and-hammer logo without being too literal.
The bright yellow color palette references workwear and stands out from competitors’ typically blue-toned logos. Black and white ensure functionality across applications, while two shades of gray draw inspiration from construction site materials such as concrete and sand. The result was a visual identity that is clear, recognizable, and able to grow with the company.
